What are you looking for?

We are seeking a talented and experienced composer to create original music compositions for our upcoming visual novel project. You will be responsible for creating captivating and emotional soundtracks that enhance the story and immerse the players in the world of the game.

Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in music composition and production, as well as experience working on visual novel projects. You should be able to create music that perfectly matches the mood and tone of each scene, while also providing an immersive and unforgettable experience for our players.

Are deadlines super important?

Yes! Deadlines are one of the most important aspects of business regardless of what field you’re in. However, we do understand that life is unpredictable and you may need to miss a deadline. If you communicate with us a need for an extension we are more than willing to work with you. But if there is no communication and you’ve missed multiple deadlines than we would have to re-evaluate our agreements.

What is the pay rate?

Our pay rates vary from applicant to applicant and is primarily based off of experience. We do ask all applicants what their current rates are, so that we know where to start.

Responsibilities:

  • Create original music compositions that align with the themes and emotions of the visual novel
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand the story and character arcs
  • Create music that enhances the emotional impact of the narrative and draws players deeper into the experience
  • Work with the programmer to integrate music into the game engine
  • Strictly adhere to deadlines

REQUIREMENTS

*You must meet these requirements to be considered.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience composing music for video games or visual novels
  • Strong understanding of music theory and composition techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Must be comfortable working with NSFW material.
  • Ability to commit to a five month or more development period.
  • Must be comfortable using Discord.
  • If meetings are held you must attend.
  • Must be 18 or older due to the nature of our content.
  • You must submit 3 music samples to be considered.
  • As an independent contractor you must complete a W9 or W8-BEN (non-US) tax forms.
  • Familiarity with Japanese-style visual novels and their music styles
  • Familiarity with 80s style music.
