What are you looking for?

We are currently looking for a few experienced writers to join our team. Selected candidates will be working on our current project Affection Academy, so please have a look at the game page and familiarize yourself with it. If you’re applying for more than one position please include references we can contact to verify your adherence to deadlines.

Are deadlines super important?

Yes! Deadlines are one of the most important aspects of business regardless of what field you’re in. However, we do understand that life is unpredictable and you may need to miss a deadline. If you communicate with us a need for an extension we are more than willing to work with you. But if there is no communication and you’ve missed multiple deadlines than we would have to re-evaluate our agreements.

What is the pay rate?

Our pay rates vary from writer to writer and is primarily based off of experience. We do ask all applicants what their current per word rates are, so that we know where to start.

If selected what is required of me?

If your application is selected you will need to fill-out and sign a W9 or W8-BEN (non-US), an independent contractor agreement and a work-for-hire agreement. For a full list of requirements please see the “Requirements” section.

Writer’s General Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write engaging storylines, dialogue and characters.
  • Work closely with our team of artists and designers to ensure that the story is conveyed effectively through visuals and sound.
  • Edit and revise scripts as necessary to ensure the highest quality of writing.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that the story is cohesive and consistent throughout the game.
  • Take feedback from the team and make necessary revisions to your work.
  • Meet project deadlines and milestones.

REQUIREMENTS


*You must meet these requirements to be considered.

  • A strong passion for storytelling and character development.
  • Must be comfortable working with and writing NSFW material.
  • Proven experience as a writer, preferably in the gaming industry or other interactive media.
  • Strong creative writing skills, including the ability to write compelling dialogue and engaging narratives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to commit to a five month or more development period.
  • Must be comfortable using Discord.
  • If meetings are held you must attend.
  • Must be 18 or older due to the nature of our content.
  • You must submit 3 writing samples to be considered.
  • Select applicants will be invited to complete a paid 500 word writing test.
  • As an independent contractor you must complete a W9 or W8-BEN (non-US) tax forms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the visual novel genre and the tropes and conventions associated with it.
  • A background in literature, creative writing, or a related field.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to our studio’s style and requirements.
